GeoNode

GeoNode is an Open Source geospatial product that provides out-of-the-box components and functionalities to create a complete Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) to:

  • ingest
  • style
  • browse and search
  • visualize
  • disseminate

geospatial data.

It is written in Python and leverages on well-known and robust Open Source products like:

and it can also work with PotgreSQL and GeoNetwork.

GeoNode  plays a key role for implementing interoperable Spatial Data Infrastructures as it provide data and metadata management aswell as rapid mapping capabilities to complement GeoServer functionalities.
